The installation presented a convenience store like no other, with shelves lined not with disposable items but with stone replicas of familiar goods.
"At Il Sonno, we wanted to invite people to see the everyday differently," explains David Mahyari, CEO of SolidNature. "It's about reimagining our environments and the choices we make."
Freezing Reflexes in Stone
One of the most fascinating aspects of Il Sonno is the idea of freezing the shopping reflex in stone. Bantal describes it as a place where "nobody thinks while shopping; it's a reflex." By transforming commodities into desirable, functional objects, the installation creates a surreal experience.

The popularity of Il Sonno during Milan Design Week led to an unexpected demand. Visitors wanted to purchase the stone objects, prompting SolidNature to produce limited editions of 12 unique items. Each piece, crafted from natural stone, boasts its own pattern, tone, and translucency, making them highly desirable.
